UPCOMING WRITING WORKSHOP WITH AWARD-WINNING WRITER LAUREL BRADY
Hello one and all! I am THRILLED to announce that on Sunday, April 10th, 2022, I will be hosting my next "For The Love Of Writing" Workshop.
Created in 2015, this two-hour workshop is designed to get YOU to start WRITING. Perfect for new or blocked writers, I'll lead you through a series of writing prompts, you get to share your work (or not if you're feeling shy), and we can successfully move you from thinking about writing to writing in a fun, safe, and may-I-say HILARIOUS environment!
When: Sunday, April 10th, 2022, from 10 AM - 12 PM (EST)

A bit about me:
Laurel Brady is an award-winning screenwriter, playwright, and actor. She has written six short films. The most recent is "Hungry" (official selection of The Portland Comedy Film Festival and winner of "Best Short" at The Great Canadian Film Festival), which she both wrote and directed. Laurel's plays have been featured on stages such as Theatre Passe Muraille, The Arts Project, and various theatres across Ontario. Laurel studied theatre at York University, screenwriting at George Brown College, and sketch writing at Second City Toronto. Laurel is an alum of the Canadian Film Centre's Writers' Lab (2018) and a recipient of the Magee TV Diverse Screenwriters Award (2019). Her TV Pilot, Killer Instincts, was workshopped as part of the May 2019 Fem Script Lab and developed as part of the Magee Tv Diverse Screenwriters Mentorship. Most recently, she was selected as one of the five winners of the Telefilm Canada New Voices Award for 2021 and her TV pilot "Chronic" was selected as a semi-finalist for LA's Screencraft TV PIlot Competition for 2022. Laurel works as a writer, story editor, and story consultant for TV and Film including the development of her own TV series.
