The Prosperous Writers Circle - January 2023 Edition
As we begin the first month of 2024, it’s time to get cozy and get intentional about what we want to write in this brand new year.
Whether you want focused time to work on your next draft or you want to start your writing goal this year in a new, ease-filled way, “The Prosperous Writers Circle” is here to soothe your anxious mind, allow you to carve out space to reach your writing goals and show up a little differently. Aka, allowing EASE AND FUN into your work!
Join award-winning writer and story editor Laurel Brady for four weeks from Monday, January 15 to - Monday, February 5th, from 6:30 pm-8:00 pm (EST) on Zoom.
Each class will consist of:
• 5 minutes of meditation to relax your mind and center yourself.
• 5 minutes of goal-setting to become crystal clear on what YOU want to get out of each writing session.
• 1 hour of focused writing (with provided writing prompts for those not attending with a specific project in mind).
• 20 minutes of sharing your work because your unique voice deserves to be heard.
Outcomes:
You’ll finish your 4-week PROSPEROUS WRITERS CIRCLE, having written for 4 hours and giving yourself another 2 hours of dreaming, self-care, and the chance to share your work in a safe, fun, open-hearted group. That’s 6 hours of additional creative time in your busy life. The intention is that this low-stakes, supportive environment will give you the space and time to START writing, build a consistent practice, and do so with ease and joy. For those working on a specific project, THE PROSPEROUS WRITERS CIRCLE offers you the chance to finish your next draft. All experience levels are welcome.

The Prosperous Writers Circle
As we head into the last few months of 2023, it’s time to clear away the cobwebs and be intentional with how we spend our time and our creativity. Feeling excited about a project but wanting community when working on those last-minute deadlines, or maybe there is a project you’re dying to work on, but life got in the way? Whatever your reason, why not give yourself the gift of structured time?
Join me for my four-week Prosperous Writers Circle every Monday from 6:30-8:00 PM (EST) starting November 6th - November 27th.
Each week of The Prosperous Writers Circle will consist of:
5 minutes of meditation
1 hour of focused writing (with prompts for those who aren’t coming with a project).
5 minutes of goal-setting/journaling
20 minutes of sharing your work
Due to the intimate nature of this writing circle, space is limited.
Anatomy Of A Screenplay: One Day Intensive
Through a series of writing exercises and talks on screenwriting basics, you’ll learn to craft your film idea into a logline, develop your specific main character, use your character to build out your film’s structure, map out your main plot points, explore how you write compelling dialogue, and make a tangible writing plan to start writing your first feature.
Who is it for: Beginners, storytellers who want to try their hand at a feature film or writers looking for a refresh.
